Privatization

The Akin Law Firm has assisted clients through a wide range of privatizations, including both the sale (in whole or part) of public entities to private investors and the concession process through which our clients have been granted rights to operate formerly public monopolies in the markets of relevance. Our experience in these projects is both in and beyond of Turkey and includes work in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Bulgaria. As part of our work we have also undertaken due diligence projects for our clients. We are particularly proud of the fact that our representations often result in ongoing representation of the entities following the privatization projects.
